By subscribing to The Odyssey Retold or using this website, you agree to these terms. They are short and written in plain language.

The work

The Odyssey Retold is an original prose retelling of Homer's Odyssey, written by Teilo Berquier. It is delivered free of charge as 88 daily emails. There is no paywall and no fee.

Your subscription

You agree to receive one email per day for the duration of the 88-day series, plus occasional Notes between seasons. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Unsubscribing is immediate and without penalty.

Intellectual property

The text, design, imagery, and other creative content on this site and in the emails are © 2026 Teilo Berquier, all rights reserved. You are welcome to share excerpts privately and on social media with attribution. You may not republish, sell, train AI systems on, or otherwise commercially exploit the work without written permission.

Acceptable use

Don't use the site or community spaces to harass others, post spam, or do anything illegal. We reserve the right to remove subscribers who do.

No warranty

The Odyssey Retold is offered as-is. While we work to keep it running, we make no guarantees of uninterrupted delivery. If something breaks, we'll fix it as soon as we reasonably can.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or the emails.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
